What goes into the feed
Al Tahooneh mills its own feed in three factories with a combined capacity of 40 tons per hour, alongside a premix factory and a soybean processing plant. The feed is built from yellow corn and soybean meal, with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and nutritional supplements sourced from suppliers working to international standards.
The grain behind it is stored on site, in silos holding more than 100,000 tons of yellow corn, soybeans, soybean meal and premixes.
What is not in the feed
No animal by-products. No animal fats. The feed is also free from antibiotics.
Because Al Tahooneh runs the whole chain, from breeder farms and hatcheries through its own feed factories to the broiler farms, what the birds eat is decided and made in house rather than bought in.
How the diet is controlled
Feed is analysed in the Al Tahooneh central laboratory, which runs a dedicated feed analysis department alongside microbiology, serology and immunology, and PCR. Production is supervised by agricultural engineers and veterinarians, and the operation is halal certified by the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization.
