What Al Tahooneh Chickens Eat
Every Al Tahooneh chicken is raised on a 100% vegetable and grain diet, with no animal by-products and no animal fats. Here is what actually goes into the feed.
vegetable and grain
animal by-products
tons of feed per hour
The base is corn and soy
Most of what an Al Tahooneh chicken eats is yellow corn and soybean meal.
Both are held on site. Al Tahooneh owns grain silos with a storage capacity of more than 100,000 tons of yellow corn, soybeans, soybean meal and premixes, opposite the Zarqa Free Zone.
What is added to it
Vitamins, minerals, amino acids and nutritional supplements are blended into the mix. These are sourced from suppliers working to international standards and high-quality specifications.
Al Tahooneh runs its own premix factory, so the additive blend is produced in house rather than bought ready-made.
What is never in it
No animal by-products. No animal fats. No antibiotics.
The diet is entirely vegetable and grain, from the first day to market weight.
The feed changes as the bird grows
Feed is not a single recipe. Ingredients are mixed according to the age category of the birds receiving them, so a day-old chick and a bird approaching market weight are not eating the same blend.
Milled by Al Tahooneh, not bought in
Al Tahooneh operates three feed factories with a combined production capacity of 40 tons per hour, a premix factory at 10 tons per hour, and a soybean processing plant at 10 tons per hour.
Because the company runs the whole chain, from breeder farms and hatcheries through its own mills to the broiler farms, what the birds eat is decided and made in house rather than bought from a third party.
