How Every Batch of Feed Is Checked
Al Tahooneh analyses each batch of poultry feed before it leaves the mill, and tests it in a central laboratory with a dedicated feed analysis department.

Every batch is analysed before distribution
The nutritional value of each batch of poultry feed – protein content, starch, moisture, ash and energy – is analysed using a Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) device before the feed is distributed to the broiler farms and breeder farms.
Feed that has not been analysed does not leave the mill.
Heat treatment before it reaches the birds
The feed undergoes steam and heat treatment to eliminate disease-causing agents.
A laboratory with a dedicated feed department
Al Tahooneh operates a central laboratory built to global quality standards and equipped with current instrumentation. It is organised into four departments: Feed Analysis, Microbiology, Serology and Immunology, and PCR.
The laboratory runs the tests that monitor products across all production stations and processes, in line with the requirements and recommendations of the relevant official institutions, primarily the Food and Drug Authority. It also provides veterinary health supervision for the flocks.
Qualified supervision at every stage
Feed production is supervised by an agricultural engineer specialising in poultry nutrition physiology, covering both broiler chickens and breeder hens.
Across the wider operation, veterinarians and specialised agricultural engineers provide continuous oversight of the flocks and the production process.
Why an integrated chain matters to buyers
Al Tahooneh owns each stage of the cycle: breeder farms, hatcheries, feed factories, grain silos, broiler farms, slaughterhouse and laboratory.
Feed is not purchased from a third party, so its composition is specified, milled, treated and tested inside one chain. For importers and distributors, that means the diet claim and the testing behind it come from a single accountable source.

Questions about feed testing
How is Al Tahooneh feed tested?
Each batch is analysed with a Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) device for protein content, starch, moisture, ash and energy before it is distributed to the farms.
Is the feed treated before it is used?
Yes. The feed undergoes steam and heat treatment to eliminate disease-causing agents.
Who carries out the testing?
The Al Tahooneh central laboratory, which includes a dedicated Feed Analysis department alongside Microbiology, Serology and Immunology, and PCR departments.
Who supervises feed production?
An agricultural engineer specialising in poultry nutrition physiology supervises the feed operation, with veterinarians and agricultural engineers overseeing the wider production cycle.
Does Al Tahooneh buy its feed from suppliers?
No. Al Tahooneh mills its own feed in three factories with a combined capacity of 40 tons per hour, supported by a premix factory and a soybean processing plant.
Can documentation of the feed composition be provided?
Al Tahooneh mills its own feed and states that every chicken is raised on a 100% vegetable and grain diet, with no animal by-products and no animal fats. Buyers who need supporting documentation should contact the company directly.
